Overall rankings

Overall or general university rankings are influenced by a combination of factors such as academic reputation, teaching quality, research impact, global outlook and employer perception of graduates.

The table below shows the latest overall rankings and previous editions of the same rankings.

Lund University is the highest ranked comprehensive university in Sweden in the QS, U.S. News and THE rankings.

Thematic rankings

Thematic rankings focus on performance in specific areas, such as sustainability or reputation.

Subject rankings

There are both rankings for broader subject areas (QS and THE) and rankings for specific subjects within these areas (QS). Note that different ranking organisations have different subject areas.

See the different tabs in the table below for broad subject rankings from both organisations and specific subject rankings from QS.

Master's degree rankings

Some ranking organisations also compare specific similar degree programmes at different universities. Examples at Lund University are the Master's programmes in the table below.

In law, one of our Master's programmes is ranked in the top 10 in the world by the LLM Guide. In business and management, some of our Master's programmes are ranked among the best in the world by QS and the Financial Times (FT).
