Architects for a sustainable future
As a society, we stand in the midst of a global crisis. The environment is changing rapidly due to Anthropocene effects, such as rising temperatures and sea levels. However, there is now a global consensus on sustainable and people-friendly living environments, in which high-quality architecture plays an important role. This increases the demand for skilled architects with modern training and an understanding of the major importance of environmental issues.
Creative minds and global thinking
The School of Architecture at Lund University produces creative architects with the ability to identify and address problems in the field of architecture, infrastructure and sustainable design. Our teachers are very often professionally active outside the University, and we are proud to be home to many internationally renowned architects. The most outstanding aspect of the School of Architecture is its international contacts. Leading architects and urban designers from around the world regularly visit as guest lecturers.
Students from all corners of the globe bring breadth and fresh perspectives to our programmes. Students are constantly encouraged to think outside the box to develop fresh and ecological ideas. Our programmes are both artistic and academic, providing comprehensive training in dealing with spatial design problems and theoretical issues.
We get to know architecture through ideas from all over the world.
