Lund’s four-notch improvement places it safely in the global top 100 for the 6th year running, retaining the spot as Sweden’s top university.
The QS World University Rankings evaluate 800 of the world’s top universities, giving individual rankings to only 400 of the approximately 17,000 higher education institutions worldwide. Lund University therefore belongs to the top 0.4% of the world’s universities.
The rankings are based on six criteria, notably academic reputation, where Lund University scores nearly 90 out of 100 this year.
Earlier this year, Lund University received top 50 rankings in several areas in the QS University Subject Rankings, including Geography (26), Environmental Studies (32), Biological Sciences (46) and Linguistics (50).
