Peace and Conflict Studies: Diplomacy, Negotiation, Mediation
Course · 7.5 credits
Description
The course is only offered as a single subject course to incoming exchange students.
The course will introduce and elaborate on diplomatic practice, such as negotiation and mediation. Practice and strategies will be linked to various diplomatic actors, such as states, intergovernmental organisations (IGOs), nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) official and unofficial diplomats. The course stresses the linkage between theory and practice in international relations. The course seminars will provide empirical foundation for the theoretical discussions.
