What Lili says about the Master's in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Lili from Hungary
Why did you choose Lund University?
"The reason why I decided to study in Lund is because it seemed like an excellent choice for my academic pursuits, as it is constantly ranked among the top 100 universities worldwide. Also, I have studied here before, pursuing a previous Master’s programme in engineering. During which I truly appreciated the exceptional academic experience, vibrant student life, and amazing atmosphere in this charming town. Additionally, I was drawn to Lund because this region is known for its numerous incubators and start-up accelerators. Joining this network promised to be a highly advantageous opportunity."
What are your first impressions of your programme? Does it meet your expectations?
"I had high expectations for this programme, and I'm delighted to share that it has exceeded them in every aspect. Right from the start, it became clear that this is an incredibly intensive one-year programme, which aligns perfectly with the depth of knowledge I sought. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the diversity of guest lecturers who have enriched our learning experience. Also, what stands out for me is the practical approach to learning in this program. We aren't just absorbing course materials; we're actively applying them, which makes the learning experience both meaningful and effective."
What have been the highlights of your first months in Lund?
"There are many activities for a new student to enjoy such as hiking, joining nations or visiting Lomma Beach. Some of my favourite memories include feasting on cinnamon buns, making wonderful friends, and exploring the streets of Lund. Additionally, for me, moving into a corridor meant a lot, as here it feels like I found a second family. We are always there to help each other out and everyone is always up for some movie or game night."
What do you think of the teaching style in Sweden?
"This differs a lot from what I am used to at home, but in a good way. Everyone is encouraged to ask questions and be interactive, and the professors are helpful and direct with the students. The guest lecturers we have had so far are all professionals from relevant fields who share their experiences and knowledge with us. Also, we are encouraged to step out of our comfort zones and learn everything by doing it."
How international is your programme?
"There are around 60 students in my programme, representing 22 nationalities from around the globe. This diversity ensures that we can all learn from each other, as students from different multicultural backgrounds have various knowledge and work experiences."
What are you most looking forward to in your programme?
"I am really looking forward to the final project, as we will work with selected groups to bring our idea to life. This opportunity will allow us to apply the knowledge we’ve acquired during the programme, potentially leading to the creation of a start-up. While it will undoubtedly be challenging, it promises to be a valuable learning experience."
