Introducing Yeabsra

Selam! Hi! Or tjena! My name is Yeabsra and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's Programme in Production and Materials Engineering. I am here to help you know more about the programme and life in Lund, as well as help you find answers to other questions you might have. Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships or residence permits.

I studied in Lund for one semester as an exchange student and liked the University and the education system. I especially liked LTH and how it is structured, and the possibilities of doing a thesis or projects with companies. Additionally, I appreciate the small city vibe, the biking culture, the beautiful historical buildings, and, of course, the sauna culture, which is by far my favourite thing to do in Sweden. All these and more exciting experiences during my stay led me to come back again for a longer duration, so here I am.

My experience so far

The programme is broad, and so far, it is going well. As it is a new programme, some things need adjustment, but the programme organisers are always there to help. Right now, in the second semester, some students are doing courses while others are working on projects. There is the flexibility to choose a course or a project to study."
