About the programme and the teaching style
Why did you choose Lund University?
"I chose Lund University because of its strong reputation and I like the VR & AR programme – this was not offered by many other universities."
What do you think of your programme so far? Does it meet your expectations?
"The VR & AR program has exceeded my expectations. It provides a solid foundation in both technical skills and design thinking, allowing us to develop impactful solutions for real-world problems. The courses are challenging but highly rewarding, and I’ve been able to explore interests in computer vision, medical technology, and mixed reality."
What is the best thing about your programme?
"The best part of my programme is the practical focus. We gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies which makes learning engaging and prepares us well for future industry roles. The diverse range of projects we work on also allows us to apply our skills in various fields, from healthcare to autonomous driving."
What do you think of the teaching style in Sweden?
"It’s very different from my previous study. The teaching style in Sweden emphasizes independence and creativity. It’s highly student-centered, offering plenty of opportunities to explore personal interests within the course framework."
How international is your programme?
"My programme is very international, with students from all over the world bringing diverse perspectives and experiences."
Have you been able to gain any practical experience during your studies?
"Yes, I’ve had the chance to work on various practical projects. These experiences have been instrumental in applying my classroom knowledge to real-world problems."

What is it like being an international student at Lund University?

What do you do in your spare time?
"Gym, hiking and traveling."
What have been the highlights of your first year in Lund?
"One highlight was achieving a perfect score in my computer vision course, which was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. Working on my MR training tool project for blood sampling has also been exciting, as it combines healthcare with immersive technology."
Do you have any advice for students that are considering coming to Lund?
"My advice is to fully embrace the international experience. Participate in projects, connect with classmates from different backgrounds, and be open to new ways of thinking. Lund University offers many opportunities for both personal and professional growth, so take advantage of them!"
