Description

Our group investigates hip joint diseases that start during childhood but may result in impaired function and OA in adulthood. 1) Hip dysplasia ranges from congenital dislocation to dysplasia in adults. 2) Femuroacetabulärt impingement (FAI) is developmental anatomical deformity. 3) Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis (SCFE) is a slip in the growth plate of the femoral head, most commonly: a. Chronic (stable). However, in 5-10% of cases, b. Acute (unstable) including a high risk of avascular necrosis.
